Riverside Kids

Welcome to Riverside Kids!

We want to shower your children with love, acceptance, and value while pointing them to Christ and joyfully engaging them with the story of the gospel. We strive for each child to leave feeling known, enjoyed, and loved by God.

What to Expect on Sundays

Nursery:

Our nursery opens at 9:30 am for all children birth- 2 years old.

Worship:

Children ages 3 and up participate in the beginning of the worship service with their families. We see this as an invaluable time to draw our children into corporate worship.

Sunday School:

All children are welcome to remain in the entire worship service, but children ages 3 thru 2nd grade who would like to attend Sunday School will be directed to the Elementary School room for a puppet show before the sermon begins. After the puppet show, our Preschool and Elementary classes split for the remainder of the Sunday School time.

The Gospel Story

Our church uses The Gospel Story curriculum by Marty Machowski. This curriculum teaches the Bible from Genesis to Revelation with each lesson pointing to Christ and His redemption story.

Nursery (Ages 0-2)

We strive to provide a safe and caring environment where our babies hear songs and Bible stories introducing them to the love of Christ. Our nursery workers are a mix of paid and volunteer helpers.

Preschool (Ages 3-5)

In the preschool curriculum, three- to five-year-old children are introduced to God's big plan of salvation in Jesus Christ as they learn key Bible stories. Our curriculum integrates play, story, music, games and interactive illustrations that help teach and engage our kids in learning.

Elementary (Kinder - 2nd grade)

The lower elementary curriculum takes a more detailed look at how each of these Bible stories connects to the gospel. Our desire is for our children to learn and understand the deep truths of the gospel and how it applies to all aspects of life. Bible memory, story, games, music and crafts are all a part of our interactive curriculum. Parents are welcome anytime to observe, participate or talk with our parent volunteer teachers.
